I’ve been hiking our nearby trail at daybreak to avoid the crazy, overcrowded trails later in the day. It wasn’t possible to practice social distancing with all the groups trying to hike together later. Lots of next door posts complaining about folks not following guidelines. Not surprised they were closed

Total lock down in the whole country should be mandated. Then test, test, test door to door and use info to track everyone's contacts. The whole world must do this at the same time or it will continue in waves for 18 months. I don't want to live like this for 18 months, do you? So let's nip it in the fucking bud NOW! All world leaders DO IT NOW!

Don't go. It's going to suck. Deal with it. Stay at home until you literally can't anymore, and then go on a hike around the neighborhood, where it will likely be easier to keep your distance from people than on a canyon trail.

And the highway is often busy on weekends but this weekend was the busiest I've seen.
I cross it occasionally with no problem but I had to wait a long time this weekend before there was an opening.

All the recreation areas must have been packed.
