(1,040 posts)Kansas City, MO, and the counties containing and surrounding it (Jackson, Clay, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, and Johnson) have joined forces to enact and enforce a "Stay Home" order for all but "essential" business/employees beginning midnight Tuesday. This is a 30-day order, but may be extended if necessary.
I think they felt the need to do this because, while Kansas Democratic Governor Laura Kelly has instituted strict measures on her side of the state line, Missouri Republican Governor Mike Parsons has been slow to act.
We're have a reasonable amount of food and supplies, hubs is working from home, and I'm not setting foot past my porch.
Stay safe, my friends!

Mass gatherings include any event or convening that brings together groups of individuals, including, but not limited to, community, civic, public, leisure, faith-based or sporting events; parades; concerts; festivals; conventions; fundraisers; and similar activities.

(34,076 posts)Going to make one last run tomorrow to a couple of stores that will be shutting down.
Just started making masks - and discovered my serger needs a part. Ugh - probably can't get it repaired tomorrow, so I'll have to work with a regular sewing machine. But I'm going to try - as well as picking up a few supplies from work I've discovered I need and a topping off food supplies for the week.
