Question for the Hivemind - Odds of Resuming Group Activities by June 7, 2020?

Any answer from wild-ass guess to "here's an article...." is welcome. I keep hearing/seeing dates in April that I think are wildly optimistic, but I'm not seeing consensus on where we are by June (the 7th is the first Sunday). A "Group Activity" would include, but not be limited to: a bar, a ballgame, an amusement park, a farmer's market, a charity run/walk/bike ride, a restaurant, a trip to a store, going to the gym, a campaign event for your favorite Democrat, or anything else you can dream up outside the house with no particular social distancing.

that greedy ignorant narcissistic POS Trump and his 'money over people' sociopathic enablers we might have a shot at group activities again mid to late Summer.

Unfortunately I think a lot will depend on what Trump and his dump flocker cult twits do in the next month or so.

The Governors all have an advantage - they have the expertise of the leaders at one or more state teaching hospitals at their disposal. From what I can tell, most are listening.

unfortunately some Repuplican't governors and Cult 45ers are letting Trump guide them and it only takes a few to keep this beast going for longer.

For mid-June to fly from Ohio to lovely Colorado to visit a friend and attend a concert at Red Rocks to see my fave band, Chicago, perform. As much as I was looking forward to it- I’m not crazy about the thought of being in a plane for 3 hours with all of those germs and crammed next to a stranger even if it is an outdoor venue. Just don’t think we will be in a safe enough situation by then.

I’d push it to then and then make a decision. Also, if it’s cancelled due to the pandemic you make get a larger refund.

I'd consider alternative plans for July - or even June - but only if I can get out with no penalty.

... and only tries to flatten the curve for the hospitals not bottom the curve out like HK and SK did and Red Don is a screw up and they will most likely screw this up to no end.

Football: i get the sense that instead of handing the ball off and grinding their way down the field, the administration wants to make a spectacular pass play. My sense is that they figure they can get a vaccine to market in record time or that chloroquine will bail them out.

I'm sure they view all services as essential right now.

Other companies that are able to operate remotely are encouraging employees to take time now. Part of that is legitimate - it is a stressful time and distraction can be good. part of it is enlightened self- interest. When this thing is declared finally over, people are going to want to party, go to amusement parks, see ball games, and otherwise get into crowds.

Physical distancing is the new normal until an anti-viral or a vaccine (or both) are developed and tested.

he's not doing half of what should have been done months ago. We have states in bidding wars for PPE and ventilators, still not appropriate level of testing. Nope, going to be much longer than June.
