McConnell's bill gave huge funding to corporations without safegards, Schumer says

Chuck Schumer discusses this at the link below, please watch & listen

...Schumer has pointed out that there were no safeguards in the proposed bill to make sure that the money that would be given to corporations would be paid back. He said in a video that has been posted here at DU, that the proposed bill would give billions of dollars to corporations without provisions and penalties if the corporations did not pay back the money. That is the reason that there was a hold on that bill. McConnell thought that he could push the bill through without the Democrats reading it or reading that section of the bill. I watched that video, and it is clear that McConnell knew exactly what he was doing for corporations and not as Schumer said, "for working people." McConnell wanted to use his leverage to force through a bill that basically gave corporations huge payouts. That makes me dislike McConnell even more, if that is possible.

You can hear and see what Schumer said at the link below, If you have time, please listen and watch this (the entire video is 7min 24 seconds), and, that speech defines McConnell:

Not only that, Mnuchin can waive stock buy backs, and also we won't know who these corporations are for six months. Where's the transparency? So much for draining the swamp!

Trump's tried to undermine unions by removing union dues requirements.

Jared has a medical company. Trump tried to buy a German company's vaccine research and relocate it here for US exclusive use & guarantee profit taking for the vaccine. Germany said "Hell no."

DoJ tried to get unlimited imprisonment. R, D,& I's said "no"

Naomi Watt's is right about disaster capitalism.

Here in the video, Schumer proves that. No safeguards for the money that was being given on an "emergency basis" McConnell was reasonably sure, that because of the "emergency nature of the bill" that it would not be carefully read. That is what he did, and that is who he is.
