Not only will Trump lose in November, but temporary destruction of Republican Party.

..It could be permanent, but it will come back with another name. But the loss of Republican seats in congress will be large in my opinion. Like the election in 32, it will be a bloodbath. Many current Trumpers know, but all will be clear the day after the election. This will sadly come at an incredible cost. But change will happen over time & it cannot come soon enough. Perhaps the fool will resign, but that is not likely to happen. Still, anything is possible as we can obviously see.

And let's also be wary of post-Repugs wanting to wangle and hopscotch their way into the Dem party, skewing it insanely right as their numbers increase...

California for example has a max of 450 in weekly unemployment check. That’s nowhere near progressive. And worse the cost of living is out of this world. So we need to ensure they follow the progressive route as much as possible. Many states like Pennsylvania that does not have a supermajority state congress has a max of 590. California can pass anything without republican stopping it.

vote buying vs. killing people. Trump will lose in my opinion. He is a sh*t leader and a lousy, awful person & he has proven that to most of us.

The distaste in the American mouths for Republicans only lasted 6 years when they came back with a Reagan and gained even more with a Reagan’s 2nd Term.
I thought that Bush had destroyed the GOP with 2 fruitless wars and crashing the economy but after 2 years of Obama, the republicans disguised as the Tea Party swept congress.
Democrats must work on their messaging to help America remember the damage the GOP is capable of...or just show the debt

only to come back and take over Congress then later get Trump in the White House. You can NEVER overestimate the stupidity of the American voters.

And eight years after that we got Bush-Cheney. Eight years after that Trump-Pence.

It doesn't matter what they do. It is like religion. No matter what, people continue to buy into it.

The country was in the grip of a massive Depression in 1932 and people all around the country were suffering. The FED had not injected funds into the stock market and there was no social safety net keeping people from abject poverty. FDR's election was likely done to stave off a full socialist revolt, which were happening all around the world. Even then the wealthy were plotting to get him out of office.

The difference here is that we have social safety nets which keep most people out of abject poverty. We also have a media which is based mainly on securing advertising revenue from corporations and thus is not hard nosed like the press of the past. There is also a whole media ecosystem dedicated to right wing propaganda, which did not exist in the 1930's.

We do need a major paradigm shift in government to get us back on track. I hope this is it.

to prevent them from dying. Fortunately, Democrats tend to be smarter and have some common sense and are more apt not to take chances like drinking with the boys down at the bar or cramming into a crowded restaurant. I can't imagine how this asshat could possibly win in November, but never underestimate the stupidity of a good chunk of the American people.
