Broward County FL issues 'shelter in place' order

Broward County is urging its residents to remain at home and only leave for essential reasons, which include food, work and exercise that complies with social distancing guidelines.

Essential activities allowed include:

Going to work or to a medical appointment
Getting groceries or takeout
Exercising outdoors (following the CDC’s social distance guidelines)
And leaving home in the event of an emergency

Wife talked to friend I've known since 1950 she about 1953. She's near Tampa hubby compromised heart. She's terrified but had to get groceries today.

And tax dollars, etc. Yet we are ruled and governed by backwater republicans from towns I’ve never heard of.

South Florida needs to secede.

About 15 friends/relatives were all buddy buddy with the kids running around like they were oblivious to any "virus" problem...... and yes.... a trump sticker on his car... idiot..

Orange County officials confirmed during a news conference on Thursday afternoon that the first child in the county has tested positive for coronavirus. The patient is just nine-years-old.

They said that over 100 people in the county have tested positive for the virus. With the county's numbers doubling within two days, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings issued a "stay-at-home" mandate. This starts Thursday at 11 p.m. and will last for two weeks, ending on April 9th.
