Every CEO Should Be Kent Taylor From Texas Roadhouse - ALL OF THEM!!!!

Texas Roadhouse CEO and founder Kent Taylor will give up his pay for the rest of the year so that the money can go to “front-line workers” amid an industry crunch due to restrictions aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19, according to reports.

To help struggling employees amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, the steakhouse chain executive will forego his pay from March 18, 2020, to Jan. 7, 2021, MarketWatch reported Wednesday. The company will also suspend its dividend during the crisis.

A spokesperson for Texas Roadhouse did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Why would a company with every store closed, no revenue coming in, and huge debt payments due have cash to pay a dividend?

I applaud the ceo for at least a token to employees, but I wonder at the math here. Yeah, I'm a cynical bastard. Sue me.

A lot of these 'rich people doing good deeds' stories are cynical PR, nothing more - just positioning their brand so that people will look upon them kindly when this is all over.

are by Contractual agreement. He's RIGHTFULLY giving it to the Hostess, Waitpersons, Cooks, Bartenders, Dishwashers, Bussers of Texas Roadhouse.

Not all CEO's are horrible people. Maybe if more took this step - some would not think they are all horrible people.

That's why. He is doing the right thing here and more should follow the lead. P/S: Not all CEO's are horrible people. #FYI
