When I listen to Trump, my blood pressure rises as my IQ falls. So I rarely listen to him.

But each time that I do, his ignorance, incoherence, inanity, insanity, intolerance, and his idiocy is completely and unavoidably exposed for all to see.

So what do these loyal Trump voters hear when Trump speaks?

I will acknowledge that Trump's racism, and his misogyny are a large part of his appeal.

I will acknowledge that Trump's greed and sheer nastiness are a large part of his appeal to some.

I will acknowledge that Trump can fool a certain segment of the population.

But what exactly do these Trump supporters hear?

1. Ah, welcome to the rest of us who doesn't listen to gutter mouth or his followers. Who...

cares what they hear? My health and well being is on me and me alone, and these idiots can continue to go to crowded church services (despite pleas to not have any large crowds) and rump ass rallies. Isn't it funny all of a sudden that rump is not having his rallies? Perhaps maybe there is some truth to what the CDC and other health agencies have been saying all along?

My fear is not the rallies or the crowds, it is the afterwards, where all of these idiots go ... back into our neighborhoods, into our stores, into our lives, possibly infecting a lot of us because of their ignorance. Just perhaps, maybe, sadly they'll inadvertently infect all of themselves, get sick and worse, and then they literally won't be a problem then?

2. My fear is that these people tend to vote in elections.

And they often vote their ignorance, and racism, and fear. And that leads them to support the GOP.

3. They already voted their fear, etc. and look what it got them. No where except a deep dark hole.

Some of them are seeing the light, coming out of the dark tunnel into clarity. I keep reading more and more stories about former supporters of rump, seeing the light. If we can just keep the spotlight on how incompetent rump truly is, now that a true emergency is in his lap, I think this will be (sadly) the best campaign literature one can have. Be safe!

5. I can't listen to him

I thought it was just because he's garbage, but then someone pointed out that he has the same speech patterns and delivery style as my (thankfully deceased) abusive father. That's why I feel hopeless, afraid, and angry when I hear him speak.

I'm ashamed that at 53, I still feel it whenever I hear that voice, that bullying tone...

I don't listen to him unless it is unavoidable.

He says nothing of importance. Just listen to Rachel Maddow instead. Imagine Maddow as President.

I just keep thinking about when we had a president who was a real, human person.

Hell, even W, war criminal and fucking idiot that he is, is able to show concern for other human beings, can take and understand a joke, and is capable of empathy. Not saying he's not a war criminal or that he wasn't a terrible president, but he is at least a human being, unlike the monster we have at the head of our government at this point.

All of this should have started in January - we are less than two days from All Fools' Day
