Donald Trump says mail-in ballot measures demanded by Democrats as part of bailout package would have meant 'you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again'

Donald Trump said Monday morning that if a mail-in ballot measure was passed it would be detrimental for getting Republican candidates voted into office
'They had... levels of voting that if you ever agreed to it you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again,' Trump said during a Fox interview
The president claimed Democrats wanted a measure that included wide-spread mail-in ballots for the paused elections, which he said would be bad for the GOP
'They had things in there about election days, and what you do, and all sorts of clawbacks and they had things that were just totally crazy,' he said
He also insisted the measures had nothing to do with the coronavirus relief package, and said it would be hard to stop them adding in special interests
