Was just talking to hubby today about this exact thing. We were hands on as we took care of 3 of our elderly parents (2 had dementia) before they passed years ago, don't know what we would have done if the pandemic was happening then. Not a religious person, but I am praying to the universe for our elders.

She's in a retirement community that is locked down, and has had a single positive COVID-19, we believe in a staffer. The place is being diligent and proactive, so I'm not TOO worried.
She however, is completely unaware of what's going on. "I just stay here with my cats, I never go out anyway. And now they're bringing us our meals like room service!"

It's unnerving, but kind of soothing that she doesn't understand the seriousness to worry about it.

I'm, of course, worried that our lunch a month ago will be the last time I saw her.
