There is most certainly going to be a Trump recession, however, for many of us it may not be called a major depression, (managing the population through newspeak) but a rose by any other name.
It is best to start thinking early about how you are going to surf this one and make it through. Obviously, plans are going to have to change big time, but starting now is essential. That is, if you have something.
This short is more along the lines of our general management of this and what will actually be needed, (not the Trumpian Doughnut Factory response).

While corporations got a $500 billion windfall, working Americans got a measly one-time $1,200 check to get by during this months-long crisis. With 3.3 million people filing for unemployment in a single week, it's time to start preparing for the inevitable recession ahead. We need to strengthen and expand unemployment insurance so that no worker gets left behind, strengthen public assistance, and protect food stamps.

(27,559 posts)Pelosi needs to stand firm that unless there is guaranteed support through this crisis for families (including measures for rent/mortgages) there will be no infrastructure agreement.
