that we're growing out of religion. Every religion that you see today was evolved as a way of bringing order to an agricultural society. Please remember that only a century ago, every society had a substantial agricultural basis. Yes, we still all eat, but it takes less and less workers in today's society to grow food.

As we move to a predominately service economy, the old religions will fade away. "Be fruitful and multiply," is good advice in an agricultural society, because while every new child not only brings a new mouth to feed, that child also brings two arms and two legs to carry in the harvest. Clearly, in today's society, children are a luxury.
