Something else to keep in mind.

While I despise Donald Trump as much as anyone here, he is not single-handedly responsible for this entire mess. And a lot of other countries are in every bit as much of deep doo-doo with this Corona Virus as we are.

No, I am not giving him a pass on anything. I wish he'd be removed from office immediately, if not sooner. The other things I wish for him I will not post.

But it's not as though this is the only country where the Corona Virus is spreading rapidly.

At least so far we haven't found any nursing homes where the staff completely abandoned the place, as I understand has happened in Spain.

Healthcare heroes go down to illness, fatigue, and sadly.... and no available replacements?

The unforeseen awful shit has only just begun, Spain was 2 weeks ahead of the U.S. like Italy?

This Personal Protection Equipment availability to the workers in healthcare & patients or lack of it and assholes trying to make bucks off it is at maximum gross?

Keep in mind, each country is a little different. Italy has the second oldest population in the world, after Japan, fewer hospital beds per capita than we do, and far higher rates of smoking.

Another problem with health care workers is that many of them are working incredibly long hours under unusually stressful conditions. Not getting enough sleep can seriously compromise your immune system.

Among the things I attribute to my phenomenally good health is that most of my life I've gotten enough sleep.

Did the Cook and Janitor of a Bankrupt Assisted Living Home Stay to Care for Abandoned Residents?

And is not the same as being abandoned in the face of Corona Virus. What happened was despicable, but is not what I'm talking about.

I am blaming him for how he is handing it here. Some other countries are just as and more fucked up than we are at the moment. Things are changing moment by moment. This can still get a lot worse.

We need a real leader with compassion and intelligence, and Trump hasn't an iota of either.

I just want to point out that as terrible a job as he's doing, other countries are either doing an equally terrible job or that this is so terrible that it's hard to stay ahead of. No matter how good the intent.

And no, I'm not saying to throw in the towel and do nothing.

I see what you are saying. This was going to be very bad all over the world no matter what. But there are people who are making it worse and people who are managing it the best they can.
