https://www.rawstory.com/2020/04/owner-of-creationist-theme-park-where-child-drowned-says-death-is-just-due-to-kids-doing-dumb-things/Young earth creationist Kent Hovind owns a creationist theme park in Alabama where a 7-year-old boy drowned last month. Hovinds initial response to the incident, where he said that the boys siblings had a blast at the park and the dad wants to bring all the kids back and loves the place was panned as being insensitive to the boys family. Now, comments he made on a livestream from yesterday are being seen as much worse.
I texted [a Facebook user and] I said, Do you realize 21 people drowned 31 people drowned in the
panhandle of Florida so far this year?' Hovind said in an audio clip flagged by the Godless Engineer. What are you gonna do, put a fence around the ocean? Come on.
Hovind then chalked the childs death up to just another case of kids doing dumb things.
It just happened. You try to avoid all that stuff but what do you do, you know? Kids do dumb things once in a while.
The dads thrilled with the ministry. Wants to come back. Gonna support us and all that, he added. So tell the skeptics to shut up, get a life.
Hovind was sentenced to 10 years in the Federal Pen for tax fraud in 2007.

The first time I personally ever heard of Wikileaks -- long before 2016, long before Chelsea Manning -- was when this dipshit Kent "Dr. Dino" Hovind had his "doctoral dissertation" posted and it made the rounds on skeptical/atheist blogs and podcasts.
Except for being tediously repetetive after a while, infuriating in its stupidity, and boring in its shallowness, that "dissertation" is comedy gold. Of course, the comedy goes downhill a bit after that epic first sentence.
Hovind also has the Falwell, Graham, Trump thing going -- you know, of bringing their sons along in the same business with the sons being as big of asswipes as their grifter dads but even dumber. His son (Eric? I think) took over making youtube videos when Dr Dino was in the clink.
