The difference between China and the U.S., besides...

... incompetence at the federal level, is that China was the source. They didn't have to deal with the virus coming in from all directions and landing all over the country. Just a thought.

is that China is a totalitarian society that has a lot less resistance, or even mere questioning of policy, when it moves to place a draconian plan into action.

Doors to apartment complexes were welded shut, and people were dragged out of their units.
