Many still seem to be arguing the flu is worse than this and that Libs are sheep, bla, bla, bla. But now they are in DIRECT conflict with Trump's own policies. So if all this is overkill (under-kill to them) then why do they still support what Trump is doing? I keep asking these folks if they want Trump to fire Fauci and his pandemic team since they are taking the Democrats original stance on social distancing and shutting things down. Of course they have no way to answer without contradicting themselves. At first they avoid the question but I just keep asking them over and over until they give an answer.
If they say yes then I point out that if they are right (which they aren't) then I tell them: "According to your logic Trump is taking the economy down for nothing. Do you support that? Why are you taking the opposite position of the Presidents current position? You must think Trump is a terrible President."
If they say no he shouldn't fire Fauci then I ask them: "Oh, so now you believe this is worse than the flu then since that is Fauci's stance. So then you do realize you are now taking the same stance the Democrats were ORIGINALLY!"
Trying to think what the name for this is? Intellectual chaos? Dumfuckery? They really don't know what the hell they believe on this and even though Trump looks horrible anyway you slice it, they of course still think he is doing a great job.

Alleged presence of WMDs in Iraq, when explained in full with all the facts known after the fact, show that that the explanation of WMD being present in Iraq is pretzel logic or nonsense.

(13,598 posts)they don't know. It's just everything the democrats were doing and saying about the virus to hurt Trumps reelection chances. But there has to be some specific statements or actions. They can't give you an example. Warnings about how serious this could be? We're seeing it, so that can't be it. Questioning Trump's response? It's not just the flu, we know that now. They got nothin'!

(14,492 posts)I'm seeing story after story of Blue zones working together to coordinate labor, resources and medical data to minimize the damage of this pandemic.
Meanwhile, I read stories every day in blood-red zones where adjacent counties or towns are doing exact opposite efforts toward isolation and closures. Therefore, those in restricted areas are traveling over to looser areas to shop and play.
That, my friends is sooooo typical Republican...... ........

(945 posts)...he'll get their support back by saying something "ill" towards Black people or somehow make them feel like Mexicans are bringing the virus over. His approval ratings will go back to the 40s, and he'll be protected by the media. Yea, American racism. It's just that simple.

(16,173 posts)but they sure as hell suck up that faux snooze like a dyson vacuum on steroids (no offense to Dyson).
I play the same game with a bunch of them on a fishing site and it usually ends up with them telling me about Hillary and not being able to keep their doctors.
It's not even fun anymore.

(32,712 posts)not taking the pandemic seriously early on or for taking the "hoax" too seriously and "shutting down" the country. Then you have the true believers who support him 100% no matter what. Of course, there's no telling which faction is infiltrated by trolls.
