Cruise ships docking in Fort Lauderdale

Unified command and Broward County officials have reached a deal with Carnival Corporation to allow two of its ships -- Holland America’s Zaandam and Rotterdam -- to come to Port Everglades.

The critically ill passengers will be taken to Broward Health Medical Center, while the rest of the sick will remain aboard the ships until they recover.

The majority who are not sick will eventually be able to board chartered flights back home.
