there is just one reporter from the SacBee asking all the questions that have been submitted by other reporters from AP, LA Times, and other news outlets. It's much more organized and he answers all the questions (without dissing anyone).
He doesn't have a binder in front of him either. He knows his stuff.

(14,176 posts)he has an uncanny ability to rattle off numbers and places without notes. Like he actually understands stuff! It's like we've (I've) forgotten that leaders can do that. And they can answer questions directly and, when asked whether we have a plan for X or Y and how we're going to pay for it, the answer is "yes, we have a plan" and then he can articulate how we'll pay for it.
I'l confess that, after Gov Brown, I was afraid Gov Newsom was going to be a pretty face but sort of a lightweight even though I happily voted for him (he talked about programs for *poverty* in his campaign ads!). I'm so glad I was wrong. The owner of the Sac Kings was right: Gov Newsom's been forward-thinking and the best governor in America.

(2,895 posts)briefings because that would take him an of hour preparation for each minute. For these briefings, he just has some bullet points on a piece of paper or something like that. So, all the more remarkable! What a memory.
I also appreciate his sensitivity towards the needs/issues of people with disabilities. From the beginning, he has emphasized the efforts that would be made to mitigate the effects of the crisis on this vulnerable population.

(21,908 posts)this is also what Cuomo has been saying all along too.... send the ventilators (and other necessary items) to the next area that is on the high end of the curve.
That's why we are called the United states

(51,630 posts)Pull up CA and you can see the charts, etc. I feel safe having him as our leader. He is being realistic and prepared and is preparing us mentally for the future which is not going to be fun but at least we know what is in store for us.

(51,630 posts)It has both the countries across the globe but also individual countries with stats, charts, etc. They update the info throughout the day. The column "deaths per 1M/population" is good to watch. The US was at 22 a week ago now it is 33. This is basically the percentage of the population and is better to use when comparing other countries as opposed to just numbers.
You can also get individual states at that link too.
