While humans are falling ill and dying, the earth is healing. While our lungs are failing, mother nature can breathe again.
The skies are clearing, water is once again blue/green/turquoise. There's a resurgence of dolphins and other animals. Venice is becoming as it once was. Many other examples to be found.

(61,698 posts)we get so far out of balance with it. So it responds by infecting animals that are crowded into dense populations, thereby infecting us. Great plan.

(31,261 posts)in nature that will be so difficult to understand and control, that any one of them will likely wipe out humans once it is among us. This is one reason why I believe that having a person like Trump in charge is so dangerous for the world, at least with a competent president, we would have a fighting chance, with a Trump we have no chance at all.

(31,261 posts)worldwide to set protocols for studying currently unknown pathogens to humans in a controlled, lab setting was right on target, to his credit Bush the Lessor started that and PBO continued the effort, Trump eliminated it. The idea was to understand as many pathogens as much as possible, before they showed up among humans and pets - the concept was to work ahead of pathogens that could affect humans and their pets, instead of waiting for them to strike then trying to figure them out.
Thom Hartmann mentioned that maybe the earth has a conscience and this is it's way of healing. Makes sense right?

(38,187 posts)When humans all go back to work, and that is what our government is pushing for ASAP, people are not going to like the inconvenience of wildlife, that they know nothing about and have been told nothing but horror stories about, around them. I think a lot of those animals will be killed, unfortunately, because people have been taught that wildlife is just salivating and waiting to attack them. People really suck when it comes to how they react to wildlife. People love seeing and hearing birds, but have been taught to go after a spider or snake or possum like it must be killed or the world will come to an end.
I just hope the animal welfare organizations are thinking ahead and at least thinking about ways to mobilize animal relocation services to avoid that unnecessary slaughter when the time comes. They can be thinking about it and planning it out through other means of communication ahead of time and make it better for those animals. Otherwise, I dread the stories we will see. It's going to be horrible for people who don't unnecessarily freak out about wildlife to have to witness. I wish there was a way to ask the animal organizations to all be thinking about how to counteract that when the time comes for people to go on back to life as usual and start back killing everything in sight and poisoning the planet again.

It was embraced by this poem, God's Grandeur, by Gerard Manley Hopkins:
The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.
And for all this, nature is never spent;
There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.
No matter how much we take from the planet, God will replenish it.
Effectively meaning take, take, take, and there is no need for conservation or stewardship. God's got it.
