Form5 Prosthetics provides upper-extremity prosthetic devices, made through 3D printing, free for those who need them. The Gahanna organization, which was founded by Aaron Westbrook in 2017, two months after he graduated from New Albany High School, champions inclusivity and sustainability.
A classmate recently asked Maddie Horvath if it was difficult for her to type.
Maddie, a fourth-grader born without the lower part of her left arm, hadnt really thought about it. She simply made do as she does with most tasks in her life.
However, the question made her realize that, yes, typing isnt easy.
It types three or four letters at a time. It takes me a long time just to type one sentence.
Fortunately, Maddie knew someone who could help.....
