There may be claims more foolish and beside the point than this, in the mouth of an aging ideologue who's failed in his final try for high office, but it will take some effort to recall one.
Perhaps he will take the opportunity to do the right thing, to endorse Mr. Biden unreservedly, to tell his supporters to behave themselves, to denounce people who in his cause lie and smear and slur Mr. Biden on social media, and forswear any intention to make any sort of scene during the convention.
