(7,947 posts)And this is the day Trump decides he's going say we've turned a corner and he has "absolute power" to order governors to make everyone go back to work?

(16,018 posts)New York, New Jersey and Michigan are the most tragic. They make up 70 percent of all U.S.deaths. Feel bad for those three states.

(16,018 posts)They only say how many cases not how many tests given. No deaths should be the goal of every state.

(34,117 posts)I keep looking for the announcement - and haven't seen any other than in the Ohio press conferences yesterday and today.
Ohio is reporting 5878 cases today, which includes 42 "probable" cases that would not have been counted yesterday because there was no test associated with those cases.
It is also reporting 231 deaths (4 more than it would have reported under yesterday's certain, rather than probable, standard).
These will show up today on the worldometers and the CDC, but they represent older reclassified cases.
There are only two new cases today - but it will appear on worldometers as if we grew by 42 new cases today.
So I expect a significant jump today (or within the next few days) based on states going back and reclassifying older suspected cases. I'm actually surprised at how little impact I see today. The daily multiplier is still only 1.071097775 (compared to 1.077344014 yesterday). It's near the end of worldometers day, but I expect we may exceed it by a bit). When China did something similar, they had a straight vertical jump for one day, and another, smaller, jump the next day.
