Trying to see the best out of people fosters civility & compassion.
It's a good trait.

But there's some people who stomp all over that benefit of the doubt.
You don't wanna automatically see everyone as the devil incarnate.
But some people go to great lengths to prove your worst estimations right.

At this point I don't even get mad at Romney's crap.
I smile because I know that his smirk will kill his political chances & he'll never hold power in this office because of it.

In reality those voting for Romney should be in the single digits.
Sorry to say that his smirk won't drive everyone away from him.

Mitt's biggest fan leaves the podium

by Jed Lewison

Yet another look at Mitt Romney leaving the podium after delivering his self-destructive attack accusing the president of siding with the people who attacked and killed our embassy officials in Libya, this one from AP's Charles Dharapak:

I don't know what's worse: the fact that he thought it was appropriate to evoke such smug self-satisfaction after that press conference ... or the fact that he's so clueless he didn't realize what a huge hole he had just dug for himself. Either way, Mitt Romney's plan backfired, and massively. He wanted to use a national tragedy to undermine the president's reelection campaign. Instead, he revealed to America a lack of judgment and a tendency towards rash behavior that should disqualify him as a serious presidential contender. It was truly an epic disaster.

Every face in that room is somber except for the obviously pleased Mitt Romney. Has he no sense of shame? Probably the same look he had on his face after the incident in high school where his buddies held down a gay student while Romney cut his long hair off with a pair of sissors. He is devoid of human qualities.

Wed Sep 12, 2012, 02:09 PM

whereas it was release hours ahead of the attack, perhaps made by those in the embassy in an effort to protect themselves in a dangerous situation which had been escalating quickly.

Of course Romney lying is par for the course, but lying about events in which Americans were killed is beneath anyone. Period. Then to go further and double down afterward is proves his 'Americanism' ends at the surface of dust lying on his ancient world view in his soulless being.

This picture exemplifies Romney's lack of conscience & soul completely.

Rmoney is a sociopath, clearly.

It is time for those decent Republicans, like Lincoln Chaffee, Charlie Crist, and the former governor of my home state, Michigan, William Milliken, who asked his friends and supporters to support Sen. Kerry in 2004, to come out and chastise Romney for pouring gasoline on what could be a very big fire.

Milliken was the lieutenant governor under Mitt Romney's father, George. He supports Mitt now and this is my message to him. Governor, it is time to speak out against Mitt's action. In the old days, partisanship ended at the water's edge. That should not change. Mitt Romney has made it easier for our enemies by not holding himself back from direct criticism of our President and Secretary of State in a time of crisis. If this blows up in our face, any Republican who supports Mitt Romney now will be responsible in his or her own way for the deaths of any Americans that came because the U.S. cannot present a unified face to the terrorists of this world. It is better to do what is right for the U.S. and lose an election than it is to pounce on any advantage in an election for President that puts the U. S. in a negative light.

In Transactional Analysis, Romney would be called on for playing a game called NIGYSOB,

"Now I've Got You, You Son-of-a-Bitch".

Romney doesn't behave like he has original thoughts or ideas, he behaves as if his sole interest is in finding fault with President Obama and his administration.

The look on his face as he steps away from the podium is one of self-serving satisfaction and one may speculate his thinking was "I got him! I got him!" as if to congratulate himself on finding the latest 'fault'.

Romney is unfit for command based alone on his demonstrations of psychopathy.

Unlike the Neil Munrow thread where we had a case of someone being rude by breaking protocol and interrupting the President as he was making a statement on immigration,...in this case there were deaths involved.

I refuse to trivialize how vile Mitt was for exploiting this.

This is one of the most despicable things I've seen since I started following presidential politics in 2007.

I've tried to give Mr. Romney the benefit of the doubt, the same way I gave McCain the benefit of the doubt back in 2008, even though I voted for then-Senator Obama. I tried to respectfully disagree with him instead of outright hate him, because I hate it when politics is reduced to shouting matches and blind partisanship.

But this guy has just lost whatever infinitesimal amount of respect I had for him. I just sent this picture out to all of my friends and family members, and hopefully more than a few will be convinced that Romney is unfit for the presidency. I have been nauseated by the sudden influx of support for Romney's statements in my area. Hopefully people will see this opportunism for what it is. As a left-leaning moderate, I certainly do.

As Andrew Sullivan recently said, this is simply disqualifying.
