I really hope he is under consideration for a cabinet post or maybe even White House chief of staff.

Biden's cabinet or CoS.. or how about Press Sec.. like Josh Earnest did for Pres Obama?

Of course, after Ben Carson, Bart Simpson could do a better job at HUD.

Ben Carson.. what a sick joke.. it's hard to fathom how people can be so gifted in one area and be such complete sociopaths in general.

But it's not a position that requires a Rhodes scholarship, experience as head of a city government, proficiency in eight languages and combat experience (well, considering that Fox Noise now has White House press accreditation, maybe I'm wrong about the combat experience!).

about Pete's speaking 8 languages including English. It would be outstanding if he could be in capacity to put that to good use!

My dad could have done it, as he was a member of the Washington print press for 50 years. But he loved his day job, and wouldn't have gone for it, even if it meant a pay raise (I have no idea what the WH press secretary makes, but considering how many Trump has had, I hope it has a REALLY good severance package!).

Actually, in 2016, I did get some vague feelers about being Hillary Clinton's ambassador to Germany, but that died with the election. It would have been flattering, but I'm not a career diplomat, and Germany is important enough for them to deserve a pro (something Trump has NOT offered them, but what else is new?). Of course, I do speak the language, have some contacts in the German government, if only with the Greens, and my wife is German. Plus, we'd only have to move from Düsseldorf to Berlin, not Dallas. It would surely be heady stuff to serve with such a great team, but I think I'd miss my day job.
