We see a similar trend in that timeframe in the overall US data, with the same increase in the days following.

The long term math of fewer future recipients paying in doesn't bother them, because they only think about today and tomorrow, and they can replace older more expensive workers with younger cheaper ones.
Republicans know exactly what they are doing, which is why the Democratic Party should be screaming about it, especially when it hits Red rural states next.
