A personal acknowledgement and declaration of war

After years of incessant socioemotional and cognitive dissonance attendant with witnessing the dismantling and destruction of everything I hold dear; and through the gaslighting and gish-galloping and mean-spirited actions and policies that, one-by-one, have deconstructed the country which, far from perfect, and grievously wounded socially, politically, and economically, I still held a tendril of promise of hope for; I have concluded that that country is gone.

The dictatorial admonition to “LIBERATE” states from Democrats, coupled with the invocation of the 2nd Amendment, is a tipping point.
At this defining moment I find it necessary to declare a personal war on those of my former fellow countrymen who care nothing for the needs of the many.

We are broken. E pluribus unum is no more. Clearly, we are at war. Indeed, this is a struggle for the soul of America.

He saw a weakness and has exploited it adeptly.

However, we must not ignore the internal forces that gave rise to the opportunity he seized. This moment has been long in the making, and our decline happened to coincide, rather precipitously as of late, with Putin's maturation and designs for the world.

Surrender is not what I am advocating.

They don't see a different Trump than we do. They see exactly what we see -- but they like it.
