I noticed the site was down Thursday eve and sent the owner a message on facebook. He replied:
We are aware of it. Due to the government...Thank you to like the page. Please invite your friends and ask them to like Avi Schiffmann as well. Let's spread peace.
It was a great site. You can see where it was on Thursday and how much easy to access information was avail. I'm not sure what liking his facebook page will do but I'd recommend all facebook user do so.

(34,080 posts)There are at least a dozen pages reporting the same data. (1) The government woud not bother shutting down one of them but not the others. (2) There is no basis for the government to shut it down.

Why would the kid who runs the site lie?

(34,080 posts)Think logically, for a moment.
If the other sites have been updating their information, what possible motivation would "the government" have for targeting his site? What mechanism would allow "the government" to shut it down.
I don't think it's a matter of lying - I think it's a matter of inexperience.

(34,080 posts)They really accomplished a lot by hiding one of dozens of sites with the exact same information, didn't they?
Did he say how he found out the government shut it down?
And - oh - it's not actually shut down it is still sitting there just not updated. If they were going to shut it down, why wouldn't they have totally wiped it out?
Did he say what basis they gave him for shutting it down?
This is just silly.
