New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he had a "productive" meeting with President Donald Trump Tuesday at the White House where the two discussed coronavirus testing.
"The meeting went well and I think it was productive," the Democrat said in a phone interview with MSNBC. "The big issue was testing as everybody knows that's going to be the next step as we go forward. And how do we separate the responsibilities and the tasks on testing vis-a-vis a state and the federal government and the acknowledgment that we will need to work together on this."
"It has to be a real partnership. And I think we had a very good conversation."
The state should regulate labs and determine where tests are taken, Cuomo said, adding that tracing is also a state function. But the federal government's role is to "make the supply chain work for manufacturers," he said.

Translation, "I have to be nice to him or he'll cry and pout then New York will get nothing for my efforts."

With a woman, like Nancy Pelosi, he'll often try to bluster first and then back down when she isn't intimidated, but with someone like Cuomo, he probably doesn't even bluster.I
That's face-to-face. Behind their backs or after they are no longer in the room, he'll revert to insults, usually by tweets.
