(42,403 posts)I appreciate your sentiment, but I have been here, done that. You call the mortgage company and get a customer service rep on the phone whose sole purpose is to get you to pay something - anything.
They will keep you on the line and badger you. They will not let you speak to a supervisor. They will not deal with you. They are working from a script and the script says - get money. That is all.

(2,028 posts)Normally I wouldn't criticize somebody for grammar and punctuation, but I think it is appropriate in this case because it seriously interferes with effective communication. I think I got the gist of your post, but I'm not quite sure. For example, what does this mean:
I got into this behind the were last year
I think you're saying your mortgage holder is trying to foreclose, because you're two months behind on your house payments. But you've been running two months behind for about a year, so why are they threatening to foreclose now? Somebody poisoned your dog and you spent $7,000 on veterinary bills to save your dog, and that's one of the reasons you're behind on your payments.
Did I get that right? Because I"m honestly not sure.
I hope I'm not violating any of the rules for posting on DU, but, as I said, I think it's appropriate when it interferes with effective communication.
