(2,897 posts)Jill Stein and Gary Johnson got more free press for a race that they were guaranteed to lose than they should have. Not to mention CNN holding debates and town halls.

(31,261 posts)From what I see of them, they are laser focused on getting Trump out of office, they are not like Bernie or Bust voters, who seem to lose sight of the main objective because they are unhappy that Sanders was not nominated. Independents tend to lean toward one party or the other when concerned about something and from what I see, stay locked in to their choice, right now that majority of them are scared shitless by Trump and appear to be blaming republicans for that jackass.

(2,042 posts)But who knows if it will. The cult wont vote for anyone but trump under any circumstances. The in it for the economy folks might be persuaded to vote for someone else. Any people Biden loses or cant get outside the Trump cult because there are other options is a missed opportunity and a net plus for Trump. Putin operative and RT host Jessie Ventura is also teasing a run as a Green.

(6,414 posts)I'm not sure if anyone that was planning on voting for Trump would vote for Amash.

(65,180 posts)Unless they are the extremely stubborn blow up the party types. Trump may have hardcore votes but others who may have voted for Trump could be swayed.
Independents. Those that might vote for Biden, but didn't want to.

(6,414 posts)He gets credit for voting to impeach Trump.
He loses credit voting for the budget-busting Trump tax cuts.

(13,776 posts)... there are probably a LOT of Republican voters who would never vote for a Democrat. Id be glad if there was a choice for Republican voters who dont love Trump but would vote for him over Biden.

(6,414 posts)In this poll, Biden loses six points when a generic 3rd party candidate is added. Trump losses two points. Its not a generic candidate of course, its coming from the right, but I still think Amash could hurt Biden more than Trump.
