Psychologist John Gartner: Trump is a "sexual sadist" who is "actively engaging in sabotage"

Link to full story below.

SNIP -

As a mental health professional, what do you see when you watch Trump's so-called briefings about the coronavirus pandemic?

Trump is both denying responsibility by saying things such as, "I take no responsibility. We've done everything right." But at the same time, Trump is also sabotaging the efforts to stop the coronavirus pandemic. This is a very important aspect of Trump's behavior. Trump is not just deflecting blame onto the governors, he is actively interfering with the governors' ability to do their job. Trump is not just incompetent. He is actively engaging in sabotage.

If Donald Trump is primarily obsessed with omnipotent destruction, how is that fueling his behavior?

Donald Trump has to create a field of negative corrupting energy around himself. For example, he pressures the scientific experts to bend the truth to his dreamworld during his press conferences. The scientists are basically Trump's hostages. The American people are hostages as well to Donald Trump. We are being abused by him. We know that Trump is lying. We know that he's doing nothing to help us. We feel helpless to do anything to stop him. It is causing collective mental despair. In this way Donald Trump is inducing feelings of rage and outrage — and he keeps doing it. It is not that all Americans are suckers or dupes, it is that Trump is a master at such cruel and manipulative behavior. Donald Trump knows exactly what he is doing to the physical and emotional health of the American people.
I envision Donald Trump as a megalomaniacal puppet master. The American people are his little marionettes. The American people must acknowledge that relationship to cut the strings.

I'm reminded of the way he treated Chris Christie after the election. He seemed gleeful in his cruelty when he humiliated him. He's done that to so many people.

It should be a part of social media agitation, both in comments and in graphics. It is an effective charge, and will taken instantly to heart by most people, especially when presented with material using his own words, with but the barest twist....

"Defeat of a dangerous enemy is something to be for."

In that case Donald could hire a professional and work out his urges in a controlled manner.

The problem is that his sadism isn't sexual, it's generalized. He doesn't derive erotic satisfaction from hurting people. Hurting people is his entire reason for living. He doesn't feel alive unless he is hurting someone. He doesn't feel his actions have had an effect unless they hurt someone. If he goes too long without hurting someone, his own pain gradually increases until it becomes unbearable.

Whips and chains will not do it for Donald. All of his business dealings have been about hurting people by "besting" them in the "art of the deal." His reality TV show was about hurting his contestants by humiliating them. And now that he's tasted real power, there's no going back. He has cratered industries, ripped families apart, and now killed thousands, soon to be millions, of people. That gives him satisfaction. When he looks in the mirror he sees a man whose impact on the world is undeniable, unlike what his hateful father told him for all those years.

He is now being entirely driven by his own ego. Beware, for it has no limits, and there is no limit to what he might do next.

He 100% pure sadist and his cult are the masochists in this sick relationship. They vote against their own best interests. They are also sadists since they love to inflict suffering on the "libtards".

He will do ANYTHING to stay in power...that is the scary truth. You just know he has Plans A-Z lined up to stay in power. The deaths and economy do not affect him in any way except for how it helps him in his reelection...that is the sociopathic part of his basket full of mental disorders. 10 million could die and he would still not give a shit. He gets off on it in fact.

wife. If the wife decides she is finally going to leave him for good (vote him out in 2020), he said he has no doubt that he will cause us great harm before he leaves for good, if he leaves...

"The American people are like a woman who is leaving her abuser. She tells her abuser, "That's it! I am done with you!" She has her keys in hand and is opening the door of the house or apartment to finally leave. What happens? The democidal maniac Donald Trump will attack us, badly. Make no mistake. Donald Trump is going to find a way to attack and cause great harm to the American people if he believes that he will lose the 2020 election."

And considering what's going to happen if he relaxes social distancing guidelines too soon? Well, let's just say he will get the ultimate boner out of this, and that's quite the disturbing thought.

I knew there was a sadism component when he goads his followers into violence. Drunk on power...

Sexually, he's more likely a masochist, as many powerful men enjoy being abused.....and Stormy Daniels did mention spanking him, if I recall.

The cycle of abuse has four phases:
●Build-up: Stress builds up in the abuse
The cycle begins with some stress (ex: job, money or bills). The stress causes the abuser to feel powerless. The abuser chooses to act out toward a spouse or partner through name-calling, insults and accusations.
As the tension builds, victims try to calm the abusers and try to guess ways to meet all their needs.
The tension becomes unbearable. At this stage, victims feel like they have to be extra careful and alert around the abuser. It’s like walking on eggshells
●Act Out: Tension leads to violence
The tension that builds up in the abuser leads to severe verbal abuse, threats or a violent physical or sexual attack.
It may happen once – but usually happens over and over.
Abuse is always on purpose – it is never an accident. Abusers believe they need to hurt or humiliate their victims so they can feel they have the power and control in the relationship.
●Rationalize/Justify: Abusers blame others, rationalize their actions
Once they’ve committed the violent act, abusers will often blame others or use excuses to justify their actions. For example, the abuser might tell the victim: “you have been driving me crazy lately. It’s your fault this happened!” Or, he/she may make light of the violence that occurred: “I barely touched you. You’re making a big deal out of nothing!”
These are defenses used to turn the blame away from abusers and make them feel better about themselves. Abusers then try to convince their victims that the abuser’s version of the truth is what really happened. Often, because they feel powerless to object, victims begin to doubt their own experience. They start to believe the incident really happened the way the abuser remembers it.
●Pretend Normal
Once the abuser has justified or rationalized his/her actions, and the victim has accepted the abuser’s version of what happened, the pretend normal stage begins. Both partners try to make the relationship continue in a normal way by pretending that everything is alright. But if the abuse is not dealt with, the cycle will continue.

The MSM would be doing a far better public service by spending more time on analyses like this and less time to “this is what he said today,” which is an ongoing juicy distraction.

Thanks for this post — IMO, it ought to be pinned.
