A Dover pizza shop employee, clearly a wingnut, disparaged our Democratic governor and people with disabilities all at once, over the mandate (and common sense) to wear masks:

And the owner, his brother, made a horrible attempt at an apology, questioned social-distancing, and proved that he is horrible, too:
Calling people retards isnt a good idea. But it at least gets your point across, I think.
I'm pretty sure I'll never be getting pizza there

(12,712 posts)Back in Stalin's days, the people were all required to wear red masks. It's part of the communist uniform worldwide.
I wouldn't eat there, he probably drools on the pizza and picks his nose while he makes them after not washing his hands after taking a dump. I would assume that someone so crude and vulgar who doesn't understand what the masks are about is not intelligent enough to follow the health guidelines required for a restaurant and even if it is not on the menu, nobody orders rat droppings and body parts on their pizza.
Don't eat there or you might get a key stuck in your ear, too.

He seems nice.
Think I'll go and see if Luigi's in on Yelp. I'll review their pizza. I'll see if I can get a few friends to help me.

This is all public information.
Maybe I'll try that number.
I'm getting a little peeved at the fucking assholes in this country who think they can just puke up any words that come to mind.

(2,399 posts)I believe they need shown some very special love.... the Fatmouth is the "younger brother" of the owner.
"A pizzeria in Woodside has over 1,000 Facebook comments after an employee made a slur-filled post about boastfully refusing to wear a mask to work.
The comments featured the slur retard and were made on a private Facebook account of Luigis Pizza employee Matthew Crompton, on Monday.
Later that night, Luigis Pizza owner Jeremy Crompton took to his restaurants public Facebook page to post an apology for the insensitive language his employee/younger brother used.
The pizza owner, who has a child with special needs, said he understands the R-word is offensive. Yet Jeremy agrees with his brother that wearing a face covering isnt a smart idea for food-prep workers."

It was the owner's brother (who works there) who made the Facebook statements. But the owner's "apology" indicates that they're cut from the same cloth

(11,738 posts)"It's a word, not a hand grenade." As I said many times, the word is a word that was used clinically for many years just like the words moron and imbecile. The problem is not the word as much as it is the insult insinuated by the word.
When we call someone a "piece of shit" we are comparing them to fecal matter, which is smelly, potentially contaminating, and all around disgusting. The insult is in the association. When you tell someone the they are "retarded" or they are a "retard" you are insulting them by associating them with people who have intellectual disabilities. THAT is the insult, as much as the insult in my other example is being compared to a piece of fecal matter. The piece of shit owner and his piece of shit brother seem not to understand that concept. While children on the Autism spectrum are not necessarily intellectually disabled or (mentally retarded - from the years back clinical terminology), they are often lumped in with people with intellectual disabilities. The insult is the same. The point of the insult is to draw the comparison to intellectually disabled people who maybe, can't read, or tie their shoes, or take care of themselves. People, maybe like the piece of shit owner's son. That is the insult. Not a hand grenade, no...but a very hurtful insult which can do a lot of damage to the self esteem of people with intellectual disabilities.
Assholes!! (see - insult by comparing the brothers to an anus, where the shit comes out of )

A HERETIC I AM
(24,370 posts)And it appears that owner of this establishment has that asshole in the person of his brother.
So....I say cut the owner some slack, give him a day or two to sort this out, and see what happens.
If the owner doesn't either fire his brother or at the very least, make him do a public "mea culpa", THEN pillory him and his restaurant.
If it turns out that the owner of this place agrees with his brothers perspective, then fine, fuck em'
But I'm betting the owner does the right thing here.
