(115,732 posts)I haven't been to EAA in years but I've flown in several times, which is an adventure itself. I was sorry to see that it was canceled, but not surprised.

(2,315 posts)I applaud Jack Pelton (EAA president and CEO) and the EAA Board for making member health the number one priority for EAA and its world-wide membership in these trying times.
AirVenture normally brings over 500,000 people to Oshkosh. More than 50,000 members camp in tents three feet apart with portable toilets and communal showers. Oshkosh is a beautiful town with a grand total of 182 beds. It would have been an accident waiting to happen.
"Oshkosh," by which the event is most commonly known has been the highlight of y year for more than 35 summers. I will greatly miss this extended family reunion. But while I will miss them, I rest easier knowing I will see them alive and well next year.
Stay well. Stay safe.
And again, thanks, Jack.
