The strong numbers of people wanting to continue social distancing are very tuned in. That includes a lot of seniors. Florida has changed since 2016. They can't even collect unemployment because of their intransigence in believing in Republicans.

Some of us oldsters remember Walter Cronkite giving two sets of figures for death and wounded counts on the nightly news. The first figures were official government ones. The second were from witnesses on the scenes.

I think minimizing the numbers will be difficult since there are too many ways to get an actual count. Besides, the health community is not about to stand by and watch the numbers be manipulated. They have seen too much death to allow the truth to be buried with the bodies.

Trump is a sociopath, and is surrounded by like minded people who have a callous disregard for life. His actions, and the actions of certain Republican led states, will result in a second wave of infections and hold that death count high for the foreseeable future. I don't see how this can help him get reelected, but then I don't think like Trump.

This is a national tragedy, and the people have to be constantly reminded that it's all on the Republicans. Time and time again they have taken actions that show their lack of concern for their people.
