PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) With the click of a button and no doctor needed, you can now order your own COVID-19 antibody test.
Quest Diagnostics on Wednesday launched the online program called QuestDirect.
On its website, you can purchase the test for $119, plus a $10 added fee.
I am pretty sure we had it. Would really like to know for sure, however $520.00 is a lot for us right now. This service should be free. What good is it if most of the country can't afford it. If I weren't retired and they were demanding I now return to work I would absolutely not go back without, at least antibody testing.

(3,262 posts)Near me with quest Diagnostics. However, I called and asked if the people for antibody testing would go through the same testing line as those with symptoms getting a throat swab. They said, yes. I think that is wrong because you open yourself up to exposure in a big way, especially if this stuff hangs in the air for 3 hours. I think Ill wait for a better option.

At minimum, the Feds should subsidize this testing so that it's at least somewhat affordable to the public (eg, <$30).
