Antibody tests are available to us just an hour away, albeit NOT free

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – With the click of a button and no doctor needed, you can now order your own COVID-19 antibody test.

Quest Diagnostics on Wednesday launched the online program called “QuestDirect.”

On its website, you can purchase the test for $119, plus a $10 added fee.

I am pretty sure we had it. Would really like to know for sure, however $520.00 is a lot for us right now. This service should be free. What good is it if most of the country can't afford it. If I weren't retired and they were demanding I now return to work I would absolutely not go back without, at least antibody testing.

Near me with quest Diagnostics. However, I called and asked if the people for antibody testing would go through the same testing line as those with symptoms getting a throat swab. They said, “yes”. I think that is wrong because you open yourself up to exposure in a big way, especially if this stuff hangs in the air for 3 hours. I think I’ll wait for a better option.

At least my wife and I both had most of the symptoms. Could hardly walk across the room Not flu, some trouble breathing. Never tested temps though.

So that "industry" could swoop into the void and make a killing.

At minimum, the Feds should subsidize this testing so that it's at least somewhat affordable to the public (eg, <$30).
