Trump says he has evidence coronavirus came from a Chinese lab, but he can't reveal it

President Trump said Thursday that he had seen evidence to prove that the coronavirus pandemic had spread from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, but he declined to detail what that evidence was.

“I’m not allowed to tell you that,” he said at a White House news conference at which he repeatedly accused China’s government of being negligent in its response to the virus, while leaving open the possibility it was intentionally spread.

Speaking to reporters after an event intended to highlight the administration’s efforts to protect nursing home residents from COVID-19, Trump was asked about a statement released Thursday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that stated the U.S. believed the coronavirus was “not manmade or genetically modified.”

Trump seemed unfamiliar with the finding and pressed the reporter for the name of the official behind the statement, which was attributed only to “the Office of Director of National Intelligence.”

Who is not allowing you, YOU, the President of the United States to NOT tell us that? Who is ABOVE YOU, mr tRUMP? Tell American who is forbidding you to tell America?

There is some evidence that conflicts with his paranoid deflection theory, (from all his DATA they he supposedly pours over as per today's briefing).

Everything tends to point to a zoonotic origin, that is, if you go with science and not a snake oil buffoon's attempts to scapegoat another country for his tremendous failures based on goals of sheer manipulation and a one-pointed desire to be emperor for life.

Wuhan Lab actually conducted transmission experiments with ferrets where you try to simulate human transmission over time with multiple infections within the ferrets.

As a side-note, Fauci has been a major proponent of this approach to studying viruses (i.e. experimental modeling with human transmission).

He is doing is solely to deflect blame and stoke up anger toward China as a campaign strategy. Trump NEVER does anything for productive purposes.

On the other hand, I have been saying this is a strong possibility for the origin of the virus on DU long before Trump opened his trap.

Keep in mind, it could well be Fauci who told Trump about how the experimentation with ferrets works.

You take a zoonotic and do multiple generation experiments with ferrets to mimic how a virus will transmit in humans (i.e. is it a virus of concern on an epidemiological level).

Known safety issues at the Wuhan lab raises a red flag given that they were involved in just the kind of research discussed above and that Fauci supported in a big way.

I read about how the CDC was condoning this type of experimentation with SARS, MERS and other emergent viral threats. It really, really needs to be stopped even if this is not found to be the ultimate source of the virus.
