Phased opening up but its going to take time and we probably wont be having any big gatherings at all this summer.
I have to figure out when its safe to see our kids. One we can see at a distance but the ones with the two year old grandson it would just be torture not to be able to cuddle.
That said we talk and portal a lot so its just mostly awful that they cant work. But were lucky. Well get through. And alive!

(66,387 posts)I'm coming to work every day anyway. Other than the fact that my wife is self-isolating at home, there hasn't been much of a change for me.

(29,098 posts)As a senior with health issues, I am glad that our Governor is proceeding carefully and cautiously. My fear for those who live in states that are opening so quickly is that basic sanitation and precautions will fall by the wayside. I have too many family members in Georgia and Florida. All with health issues. I fear for their safety as I don't think they are as OCD as I am with the safety measures.
Although there is a great deal miss about living in a smaller rural community, I am glad to be on the other side of the lake from Seattle as I have a wealth of delivery options. We really aren't pressured to go out and can stick to the local street for dog walking or an occasional short drive to see something other than our little neighborhood.

(41,986 posts)Im unhappy with not being able to do familiar things and go to meetings, and its awful not seeing my sons and grandson, but we do have lots of contact and its part of helping us get through.
Im really sick of those who cant be bothered to help the rest of us survive.
