flocked to this past weekend, forcing the Gov of CA to close the beaches in GOP Orange County. I say, "Tough shit and grow up you whiny snowflakes!". These self absorbed idiots deserve to get nailed by the cops and Covid. They are prolonging the recovery..."Covidiots" seems like a very appropriate word.

Orange County used to be one of the hot spots of Conservatism in the 80's and 90's. It is much more diverse now. Purple to Blue now. Still there are a lot of people from the whole Orange County and San Gabriel Valley who go to Huntington Beach to cool off. When I lived in La Puente and West Covina, I would go there at least weekly with my aunt and cousins to go into the water.

People are tired of being at home. In LA and Orange, it is likely HOT. My parents and sister still live in the area we grew up. Fortunately they have a swimming pool so they can take a dip. They also have air conditioning. Problem is that not a lot of people have those things. Trump is stirring things up with his idiotic plan to re-open and his support of people "liberating" their states.

People are desperate and doing stupid things. If it only affected them, I would say, "go for it, enjoy, just don't go screaming to the doctor/hospital when you get COVID-19" Problem is, it doesn't stay at the beach. It comes back home. It goes with you to the grocery store when you are standing in line next to me. When you pick up and put back that tomato. Etc...

Stay at home people!!

If the federal government had guaranteed enough income for people to pay their bills and buy food during the stay at home lockdowns, people would be far less likely to attend these protests.

This is an unprecedented time in US history. Not since over 100 years ago have we faced this kind of potential danger. The government should absolutely be doing more to economically support the average person who needs help. Wealthy people will be fine. They will ALWAYS be fine. They need to support the people who have given them their tremendous wealth because like President Obama said, "You didn't build that alone"
