"Republicans"---what will it take to break the spell that Trump and his thugocracy have

apparently cast over you?

Do you even recognize the many similarities between what you and other Trumpies are currently supporting and the attitudes fostered by Hitler to prepare the way for his Nazis to take power in Germany? There are many examples, but many are subtle and I know many of you "don't do nuance" so I'll just mention one very recent and apparent outrage.

At a protest organized to support Trump's call to "reopen the country" despite the raging Corona virus, one of your folks displayed a sign urging that we "Sacrifice the Weak" in order to get everyone back to work and into the malls.

That's right out of Adolph's playbook, people! It should keep you awake at night.

That it does not keeps a lot of US awake.

No amount of misfortune, cruelty, adversity, or stupidity will shake their faith.

That's the key to fomenting a fracture in society. Always make it "us vs. them."

By analogy, it's similar to their view of our species' place in the realm of nature and natural law. The conservatives' (there is nothing "conservative" about it) view is that humans are apart from and in eternal conflict with a natural law that they must overcome and dominate. This is a delusion that the GOP loves to encourage.

5. The Nazis, KKK, Proud Boys, white surpremicists , criminals & criminal oligarchs are all in for him.

That will not change because the hate and treachery and stupidity are features for these asses and he enables their worst so they totally approve of him - he is them!

Another group that supports him is life long repugs/evangelicals who disdain science and information and love authoritarian males & drumpf pretends to be tough but is totally a candy ass inside. These people are so ignorant, they don't realize they and he are stupid and a danger to everyone else. I put evangelicals in this group because it's the hate & pretense that attracts them as well.

Even thinking repugs are deserting him, although they may not be on our side, they definitely aren't on his. Unfortunately, for some of them, even though they aren't totally stupid, they are brainwashed against us - Democrats. Their brainwashing may be too deep for most of them to overcome?

Where we NEED to win is the people who didn't vote last time or who voted for drumpf and now realize their HUGE mistake. If we come all out and bring these with us, it will be hard for repugs to steal the election from us.

8. Actually, I think this crisis actually increases the chance that Trump will get his "wall".

However, the wall I have in mind won't be along the southwest border... It is going to be located on or near the National Mall and will be constructed of black marble and contain over 60000 names. It may not officially bear Trump's name but that is how history will refer to it.

I ask you which is going to be a more lasting legacy? A useless wall in Texas that serves mainly to be a graffiti canvas or a solemn tribute to the largest event causing loss of life in the country's history? Trump is going to find that in politicizing the government reaction to this tragedy instead of following the science he and the Republican party will own the issue for generations. I hope Pelosi starts the ball rolling by inserting an initial appropriation for such a monument in the upcoming budget.

That Trump is a would be totalitarian megalomaniac just like Hitler who had absolute power in Germany and the Nazi’s would just shoot people in the street along with of course sending the 6 million to the gas chambers. If he gets re-elected, look out.

12. Correct. Trumpy-boy has no qualms about mass murder if it means consolidating power.

He proves it every day. We can watch him express his desire to spread pain and suffering right on live TV. For those caught in his human grinder, they're just so much fodder. Trump sees this equation: if killing off the vulnerable (caregivers and medical staff, and younger, compromised folks are collateral damage) keeps him in office, then he's wildly committed to the killing.

And this is what we're seeing.

One of the current giveaways: Trumpy-boy's EO to forbid meat packing plants to close due to the spread of the disease. AND, the threat to those who leave work to protect themselves and their families from the disease to withhold unemployment benefits, leaving workers with an awful and cruel choice. But Trumpy-boy's cruelty is only beginning to show. He'll get worse because he can only double down on his brand, which means more cruelty, more inhumanity, more death and disease, and more self-aggrandizement.

Trumpy-boy will ALSO elevate white supremacists and Nazis to new positions of value within his party. He MUST intimidate his opposition, and his small army of violent thugs are his (poor) equivalent to the Brown Shirts. But he'll use them more and more, the closer the election comes. Trump does NOT believe in a democratic process for the control of the country. He believes in raw power.

13. You've got that wrong

Retrumplicans have ALWAYS been like this. Donnie Shit for Brains just came along and filled a job that was open.

Seriously, if you listened to just a few minutes of Hate Radio over the past 40 years, you wouldn't be surprised that dipshits with rifles are showing up at State Houses around the country, or that the neighbor you wave to on your daily walk, or the person you chat with after Sunday Church during coffee hour, would stomp over your toddler to get the last can of Pringles... and then bitch because they got blood on their shoes.

This is who they are! This is who they've always been!

Donnie Dollhands has just made it "cool" to bring their hatred, selfishness and disregard for their fellow man out of the closet.

There have always been people like this. Fortunately, social norms and morals shamed them into pretending they were human beings. They'd smile at your face, but then go home and spitrage about how much they hated you and wanted to harm you and your family.

All Donnie Asspickle and the Retrumplicans have done is remove the veneer.

Now they don't have social norms and morals that require them to keep their hatred in their own homes.

They've been given Carte Blanche to display it openly.

And everytime law enforcement doesn't punch them in the throat they get more and more emboldened.
