I just sort of got into it with a right winger.

She was giving a hair dresser fits because the haur dresser didn't feel risking her life so someone could get their bangs cut.

This woman got really rude. She said hair dressers take the same oath as healthcare workers and she just needed to wear gloves and a mask and get out there. It her duty.

I wouldn't take that risk. And it really pissed me off. Her arguments are so full of holes and she was so uppity.

It puts the onus on someone else, so they have a hard time being really defensive. When you wrong foot them from the start, you can occasionally inject a little doubt into their secure bubble of extreme privilege.

Of course, I'm no saint, especially when I'm having a bad pain day, so the parting shot might be "Voices in your head getting louder?" then walking away laughing and twirling an index finger next to my temple.

thus, as one, no longer serve such people. Wanting to put people at risk to cut their damn hair, get their nails done, or whatever. I suspect hair saloons, etc., all similar places that serve the public, are going to weed out their undesirable customers (and they should, kind of like no shoes, no shirt, no service!).

That gave me the best laugh of the day so far.

In reality, the only healthcare workers that take an oath are doctors. Even nurses don't take that oath. They may take something known as the Nightingale Pledge at the end of their training.

Before God and those assembled here, I solemnly pledge;
To adhere to the code of ethics of the nursing profession;
To co-operate faithfully with the other members of the nursing team and to carryout [sic] faithfully and to the best of my ability the instructions of the physician or the nurse who may be assigned to supervise my work;
I will not do anything evil or malicious and I will not knowingly give any harmful drug or assist in malpractice.
I will not reveal any confidential information that may come to my knowledge in the course of my work.
And I pledge myself to do all in my power to raise the standards and prestige of the practical nursing;
May my life be devoted to service and to the high ideals of the nursing profession.

Offhand I'm not aware of any other categories of health care workers that take any kind of oath.

Then mentioned it was an example of him being self-sufficient!

Most people said they weren't risking it. I wouldn't risk it.

I have a friend thst works for a CBD company and she has decided to not go back.

I plan to stay in until I feel that it's safe. However long thst may be.
