Kinda grabs your attention. U.S recorded 210 deaths, and 3,300 new confirmed cases .. in 12 minutes.

Now, keep in mind, there's a time variable from when the next snapshot of statistics is taken, and when it's uploaded so whoever's making up those graphics for broadcast at NBC News can set everything up. I'm sure they track it closely. But these are humans, and right now, there might be some absenteeism and maybe somebody who's supposed to do that was out getting coffee downstairs for people in the control room who could not leave, or somebody's training today (it's Saturday, after all), or somebody HAD to run to the bathroom RIGHT NOW, before top-of-the-hour and change of anchor and headlines. That sort of thing. And they're short-staffed, I'm sure. Maybe more than usual. After all, news staffers don't have any special immunity.
