My prediction would be mid to late May. The behaviors of some groups along with an urgent rush to reopen an obviously unprepared and rather broken system indicate to me that we are already seeing conditions that will spike the number of cases and deaths to a point by then that will require a replay.

Somehow, it will turn out that the Democratic Governors who did not open things up had it wrong.

I can see a few of them saying that they were never really (r)epuglicons, just supporting policies that their electorate wanted. Maybe switching parties or just going home to "spend more time with my family".

Those armed dough boys will be the loudest in demanding that THEIR children be protected.

The feds won't do anything until late October. If not then, not until January after the inauguration.

So I expect them not to learn from their mistakes and delay shut down AGAIN. Also keep in mind it will be closer to the elections so they will make excuses to stay open when they should shut down.

Red state death numbers will become undeniable and panic will ensue among those who are now screaming in the faces of marshals who are protecting state capitals.

So I say the first week of July or so.

either shut down officially or society will shut down all on its own. state governments are going to want to get out in front of this thing.

By then the number of cases/deaths will be impossible to deny.
If not the governors, then the local health departments will act to protect the people.

And, a lot of establishments remain closed. Point is, I think that will help mitigate infection rate some, but probably not enough.
