Democratic Governors should give the protesters one last warning.

I just saw the mayor of Chicago give one last warning to the people of Chicago. She basically said play time is over. Break the social distancing order and you will be charged and you will be put in jail.

We are not being tough enough with all these idiots who are protesting. They are putting the public in danger. That is a crime and we should not be putting up with their bullshit.

Our mayor is black and her threats to jail black youth who are having parties. But, she isn't threatening to jail the protesters who are doing the same thing regarding assembling people. Except the protesters throw in hate speech and nazi symbols.

Wow.

White privilege.

Thanks for posting this I can't recommend it more!

A crowd bearing arms is by definition not a peaceable assembly. It is instead an insurrection, and ought to be treated accordingly.

things could've been handled better all around, but the jail delays were not all bad.

5. The 1A says we have the right to assemble **PEACABLY** ... brandishing lethal weapons not included.

Any operable, or apparently servicable, weapon is an implicit threat, and gatherings which condone them are not acts of peacable assembly, therefore not protected.

These "patriots" who fail to recognize any law OUTSIDE of the 2A. Need to see SWAT snipers on the rooftops above them -- with orders to target any of them who raises his weapon towards any person or persons. Let them learn the hard way how hard it is not to reach for their waistbands, or cell phone, or keys, or .............

6. No permits due to health crisis, any unlawful gathering will be warned then arrested.

Although I kind of think that's part of what they want. Actually, I'd just put State Troopers in a line across their governors mansions and offices and have them armed and given instructions to arrest anyone who tries to enter the state house with a firearm which is illegal. Show that they are breaking the law and it won't be tolerated and see what happens. it's almost certain it would be the militias fault if any guns are fired.

7. You probably won't see armed protesters in Chicago

because it is illegal......It will get you locked up. It could cause you to forfeit your ability to ever own a gun. That is one thing most gun owners fear.

The states where you have seen armed protesters are the states that have caved to the NRA.

It is difficult to make laws making it legal to openly carry guns in public and then want to punish people for carrying guns in public.
It is a self-inflicted wound. If the people of the states would demand change at the threat of removing politicians from office, then changes would be made.

Five states (California, Florida, Illinois, New York, and South Carolina), as well as the District of Columbia, generally prohibit people from openly carrying handguns in public places. Thirty-one states allow the open carrying of a handgun without any license or permit, although in some cases the gun must be unloaded.

Including Florida in the list is not entirely accurate, there are places and times that you can carry openly.
