On edit: IF you filed 2018 but OWED a tax liability, the IRS does not have your bank account info to use to Direct Deposit your stimulus.
OTOH, i don't understand what's the hold-up if they have your bank DD info on file for SS benefits since from forever...

(17,539 posts)I filed for '18, but not yet for '19. I did nothing to expedite the payment, contacted no government agencies, and my wife and I both got our payment, by direct deposit, about two weeks ago.
My DIL's payment was sent to an obsolete bank account, but got her payment by check late last week. My son has received nothing yet.

(21,716 posts)I'll believe it when I see it. My housemate moved in last December and hasn't filed a tax return from here yet. Her check was sent here, just got here today. She is retired and gets SS direct deposited. Don't know why they mailed it to her instead of direct deposit, at least she got it.
