He is mostly known for his novels but he has written some really nice short stories thst are in a completely different vein.

Nothing against Stephen King. He's one of my favorite writers. But my dad used to say this all the time. I think he got it from some 1950's comedian.

I've heard that expression since I was a kid in the '50s and I'd be willing to bet it's nearly as old as gunpowder itself.
