I can't speak to everyone else or the last 48hours but as I saw new information I moved on from that inaccurate information that was being reported.

I don't think I was the only one here to do so.

cell, eyewitnesses say there was no demonstration and that the terrorist drove up the the consul in black trucks and heavily armed. The ambassador was locked in a safe room when a rocket was launched into the building , he was stuck in the safe room and died of smoke inhalation.

On the scene reporter. One difference was a neighbor saying there were 4 trucks with BLACK FLAGS. I think that may indicate AlQaeda.

Because that is what I have seen passed around on several message boards. I just want to know if the right is spreading that as a lie, or if it has been reported by trusted sources.

I'm grateful that she is making the distinction between any possible protest, and the actual attack.

But, I hear her saying that these rebels/terrorists are now more interested in international affairs rather than just regional. What I find upsetting about this is that if these attacks were revenge for our imprisoning Al-Libi for his part in the '93 World Trade Center bombing, then one really must go a step further in order to really find the true cause for bombing of that embassy. If the US had not been meddling in the Middle East (ie. we use lots of oil and we need to control and use their oil), then the 'World Trade Center bombing never would have taken place. It didn't happen because they "hate our freedoms". It didn't happen in a vacuum. And I don't think it's apples and oranges, because people cross borders. I mean that even the sanctions in Iraq for over a decade have to have created really dire situations which create fertile ground for the very attacks we see. To be blunt, we did it to ourselves.

It's hard to erase the past. And now we're participants in a bigger international game. Or I should say THEY are. For all of the invading we've done, we have never had to suffer the consequences.
