quite a few minutes of his morning show being "presidential". It is a scream. 15 minutes at a time he speaks in sepulchral tones. All fair-minded and intellectual, with only a mispronounced or mis-used word here and there. The entire panel sits in stoney silence, and you can see them thinking "I got up at 3am for this?" No more raving hysterical rants, talking over the guests, and all that non-presidential stuff. Today he had the author of Moneyball, who had followed Pres. Obama around for 6 months and wrote a Vanity Fair article. Joe's first question was "is he a creep [paraphrasing liberally here]? Does anyone like him? Is he cold and aloof? Does he have even one friend?" He was stunned and dismayed at the answer, and turned to Muppet Meachem for help. I am enjoying it, but admit the raving and maddening ranting was more entertaining.

(37,648 posts)Sooooo many votes and words that would haunt him throughout the campaign.
Unless he just wants to run for TV leverage or notoriety, knowing he won't win. Either way, that tells me that his show has gone to his head.

(135,425 posts)1. Dead girl in office.
2. Piggy eyes...the guy has piggy eyes. People don't like piggy eyes.
I could offer up substantive reasons, too (his political acumen is third rate, he's nuts, he's divorced--and not long ago, like Ronnie and Jane Wyman, but recently enough that people will remember) but those puffy, slitty, small and darting piggy eyes will do him in. They make him look like the shifty character that he is!

(135,425 posts)In 1986, Scarborough married Melanie Hinton. They had two sons, Joey and Andrew,[45] and divorced in 1999. His younger child was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. While interviewing Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., in June 2005, Scarborough expressed concerns about the possibility that one of his sons may have suffered vaccine damage, perhaps attributable to the sharp increase during the 1980s in the amount of thimerosal injected into infants: "My son, born in 1991, has a slight form of autism called Asperger's. When I was practicing law and also when I was in Congress, parents would constantly come to me and they would bring me videotapes of their children, and they were all around the age of my son or younger. So, something happened in 1989."[46]
In October 2001, Scarborough married Susan Waren, a former aide to Florida Governor Jeb Bush and a former congressional committee staffer. He currently rents a home in Washington, D.C.

(21,155 posts)This will sink him and that is the reason he didn't run again. Very suspicious situation. In this day and age Internet stories can gain traction.

(135,425 posts)Barack Obama once said he had "no plans to run" for President!
"No plans" is a non-denial denial!

(62,683 posts)I think it's obvious Obama is a LIKEABLE, friendly, warm guy -- why on earth would he ask those questions? He's a lawyer -- isn't the first rule don't ask a question you don't know the answer to?
