The entire party always touts "limited government is best" and that "government doesn't create jobs" while they're the ones who run for government positions. And they're the ones who want to dictate the sex lives of women and gay people. Whether they like it or not, the Reds all receive government benefits despite demonizing them, such as how Paul Ryan received SS and how Scott Brown had one of his daughters on government health care.
Luckily for them, about half of the country is dense enough to tolerate this fallacy.

My dad worked for the government for 40 years. Every day he would go in and do good things for the citizens of this country.

Paul Ryan goes to a big building in Washington and throws temper tantrums...for which the citizens pay him $165,000 per year. There is a difference.

Isn't impersonating a public servant against the law?

Fri Sep 14, 2012, 03:21 PM
Sep 2012

Real quickie timeline of Ryan's adult life (going by dates in Wikipedia, so not exact)

1988-1992: ~4 years student @ public university: ~16%
1993-1997: ~4 years congressional staffer and conservative political org employee: ~16%

1997-1998: ~1 year as consultant for relatives company: ~4%
1998: ~1 year running for House seat: ~4%

1999-2012: ~13 years Member of the US House of Representatives ~54%

As long as I'm doing quick calculations, let's note that Ryan has been in congress for a year more than Ted Kennedy at the same age. Some Mr. "I'm not the government" Ryan is, eh?
