seems organized religion, with their anti closing protests,

are unmasking (yet again) as the pure self serving bullshit that it really is. So much hypocrisy...so much. "let's pray away the virus together while you fill the collection plates so we can keep our mcmansion".

We seem, as a species, to be hurtling to the bottom of the swamp with myriad bullshit in plain view.

It, to me, is a real inflection point. Which way will it go from here?

Yes that was the start of it. Victimization promoted by Fox and *POOF* they found a perfect divide and distract touch point.

This has been true since day one, and it will remain true until the last organized religion is destroyed.

I don't have a lot of respect for religion in general, but organized religion has always been an abomination. An alien culture studying our future dead planet will take a look at our love of organized religion and say "yeah, right there is where they started to fuck things up."

about a guy whose ship sinks and he is out treading water telling god he trusts him to save him. A cruise ship comes by and tries to rescue him but he says god will save him. A sail boat comes by and tries to rescue him and he once again says that god will save him. A helicopter comes and tries to save him but again he says the same thing. Well, this man ends up drowning and when he gets to heaven he asks god why didn't he save him? God replied, "I gave you three chances and you did not accept any of them."

I probably did not get that joke entirely right but as far as these " Christians" are with them turning away anything that could help them they are probably not taking what their god is offering them to stay alive.
