If rump tries to end run these governors, he's going to find it awful difficult to counter/come up w/ valid excuses to justify his crappy responses/actions during this CV crisis.

Trump has the CV's name branded into his forehead, so that in the future, anyone who needs a reminder of just how bad rump is, simply needs to review his 'take bleach' or 'swallow disinfectant' comments (to beat the CV). I don't see how anyone can justify remarks like these. And these are the tip of the iceberg.
